Student Employment

Orange Card Applications will be accepted starting August 1st.

If you're a student looking for an on-campus job, please follow the steps below. All current student job listings can be found below.

Step 1: Obtain your Orange Card - Approval to work on campus

Choose one of the following checklists to complete:

• Orange Card checklist – new students to campus employment.
• Orange Card checklist for returning students – worked on campus from 2010-2011.
• Orange Card checklist for international students – new international students to campus employment.
• Orange Card checklist for returning international students - worked on campus from 2010-2011.

Additional forms (if needed):

• Form W4 (2011): Federal Employee Withholding Allowance Certificate
• State of Indiana Employee Withholding Exemption and County Status Certificate
• Direct Deposit authorization form

All materials can be turned into the Career Center in Andorfer 229, or emailed to Cindy Verduce, at cpverduce@indianatech.edu.

Step 2: Once you have obtained your Orange Card

Step 3: Interview for positions

• Interview tips
• Write a Thank You note

Once you have the job:

• Complete your I9 with your direct supervisor
• Use I9 checklist for a list of common acceptable documents
• Determine how many hours per week you can work using the Work Study Hours Available Worksheet.

Step 4: Evaluate your experience and see how you're doing

• Complete the Student Evaluation of Campus Employment Experience and return it to the Career Center, Andorfer 229.
• Go over your Department Evaluation of Student Employee with your supervisor each November and April.
