Overview
Biomedical Engineering Faculty
Indiana Tech invites applications for one full-time tenure track teaching position in Biomedical Engineering to begin fall 2013.  A Master of Science degree in biomedical engineering with industry experience is required.  A Ph.D. in biomedical engineering is desired.  Rank is based on experience.  The successful applicant will teach a broad range of undergraduate biomedical engineering classroom and laboratory courses.
 
In addition to teaching, the successful applicant will support Indiana Tech initiatives to recruit and retain students; advise students; support student organizations and extracurricular activities; and assist in further development of the biomedical engineering program.

Indiana Tech is seeking applicants for a faculty position at our Louisville campus. This full-time, academic position carries responsibilities divided between teaching and administration. The successful candidate must be an experienced educator and administrator with knowledge of best practices in adult education; be able to recruit and manage part-time faculty members; have superb skills in facilitation, collaboration, and communication; be detail-oriented; have demonstrated talent in planning and implementation; and be able to maintain academic rigor and good student relations in an adult learning, multi-campus environment.  Candidates must have at least a Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business, with a Doctorate preferred, at least 3 years teaching experience in adult, accelerated programs, and at least 3 years supervisory experience in an academic setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities include teaching in the areas of specialization, student advising, supporting activities to advance the College of Business, and fostering relationships with students both in and out of the classroom. Successful candidates will also participate in the continued development of the undergraduate and graduate curriculum, develop new online courses, contribute to the College’s professional accreditation activities, and teach 12 credits (4 classes) per semester.

Assistant Professor, Health Information Technology
Indiana Tech is seeking an Assistant Professor in our Health Information Technology program.  This is a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track faculty position having primary responsibility teaching undergraduate health information technology courses in an online format.  This position will work on-site at the main Indiana Tech campus in Ft. Wayne, IN. 

The incumbent will teach all assigned courses, engage a diverse student population in the learning process, clearly and precisely document student progress and complete learning assessments as required.  This faculty position will respond to student request in a timely fashion, serve as academic advisor and mentor, work as field experience supervisor and ensure course and program learning outcomes are achieved as defined according to the course syllabus.

Qualified candidates have a certification in AHIMA, RHIT or RHIA, hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, excellent organizational and communication skills, and at least three years of experience in Health Information Technology.  Experience in teaching in-person and in an online format is preferred.
 
Applicants should address their preparation, knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas:
 
1.       RHIT/RHIA certification.
2.       Bachelors degree required, MS preferred.
3.       Minimum of three years of acute care health information experience required, including coding experience.

Director of the Center for Criminal SciencesNew
Indiana Tech is seeking candidates for Director of the Center for Criminal Sciences at our Fort Wayne campus.  This 12 month position requires teaching, assessment of student learning, and administrative leadership for the criminal justice and pre-law programs.  The Director provides input for the selection of adjunct faculty and the development of program courses on the Fort Wayne campus and satellite campuses. This position also serves as an academic advisor to students seeking a career in the criminal justice or pre-law fields.
Successful candidates must possess prior experience teaching postsecondary courses in the criminal justice or law fields. Relevant work experience in criminal justice or a law-related career is preferred.   Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s Degree with a Doctorate Degree preferred.
