The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis and reporting on the efficacy of Indiana Tech’s academic offerings and institutional operations. The director will refine data into useful knowledge and will advise on the proper resourcing of initiatives and activities that promote exemplary performance within a culture of evidence-based decision making; establish critical structures and systems for assessment data management, comprehensive program review, market research, and accreditation support; provide analyses and timely reports related to program evaluation, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, external benchmarking and other performance analytics; and advise and collaborate with academic and administrative units to ensure meaningful indicators of effectiveness are clearly identified and facilitate relevant assessment activities. Additionally, the director will coordinate a wide range of data collection and analysis activities and optimize use of outcomes for continuous improvement while acting as the key liaison with regional accreditation body (HLC) and preparing materials for institutional accreditation (AQIP). This position serves as a key resource to academic unit heads in support of programmatic accreditations and engages internal and external constituencies to ensure well-informed planning and evaluation outcomes.
This position requires a master’s degree with a doctoral degree highly preferred. Highly qualified applicants will possess a strategic mindset and a working knowledge of research design and methodologies; statistical/data analysis skills and the capacity to synthesize data for clear communication to a wide range of audiences; proficiency with MS Office products and an aptitude for making use of ERP and assessment data technologies; a collaborative demeanor, strong communication skills, and interpersonal competencies. The successful candidate must have an administrative background—ideally in a higher education or organizational development context—coupled with excellent organizational skills and the capacity to supervise multiple large-scale projects concurrently. Experience with regulatory compliance, performance assessment, market research, and/or strategic planning activities is preferred. Post-secondary teaching experience is desirable.
