Greetings and Welcome to Indiana Tech!

Commencement is just around the corner, as we near the end of another academic year. Still, in many ways, it's just the beginning of the next phase of our university development and a rite of passage for our graduating students.

Indiana Tech is an engaging and welcoming place to learn and meet new people. A recent study published in the June 2007 issue of Personal Relationships reveals that some college acquaintances are likely to become lifelong friends. "Making friends is like managing a bank account. You must make investments, and it is never too early to start." (Glenn Sparks, Professor of Communications, Purdue University)

In our near 80-year history, since establishment in the summer of 1930, Indiana Tech has been preparing men and women for a lifetime of success. Just a glance back through old yearbooks will confirm that a vibrant campus life has always been an important part of the college experience at Tech, but today we have more sports events, expanded student organizations, and the ability to offer many more career paths. We're located close to the heart of downtown, yet we enjoy 40 acres of beautiful urban landscape decorated with modern, new dormitories, plus state-of-the-art classrooms and labs. Our students also appreciate the recreation center - complete with a private bowling alley, not to mention our own theatre and wellness center.

At Indiana Tech we provide excellent educational choices and benefits for traditional college students searching for a day school campus, as well as for career professionals contemplating evening classes or online learning. We offer a full range of academic programs, including Elementary Education, Criminal Justice, Accounting, Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, Graphic Communication, Organizational Leadership, and Psychology, plus a complete Engineering curriculum - Biomedical, Industrial and Manufacturing, Computer, Electrical, Software, and Mechanical. And this year we will launch a new program in Energy Engineering. As career choices diversify, we adapt our educational programs to meet the needs of the future.

Come see what we have to offer!

Sincerely,

Dr. Arthur E. Snyder,
President
