Trustee Biographies
Arthur E. Snyder, Ed.D
President

|
Arthur E. Snyder, Ed.D is in his fifth year as president of Indiana Tech. On
Jan. 7, 2003, the Board of Trustees announced his appointment effective July 1,
2003 and he was inaugurated on Oct. 2, 2003.
Dr. Snyder came to Indiana Tech from Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., where
he was Dean of the Tabor School of Business and the Dwayne O. Andreas Chair of
Executive Management from July 2001 to June 2003. From 1992 to 2001 he was
Chairman of the Department of Marketing and Dean of Professional/Graduate
studies at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. He also was Adjunct Professor at
the New York Institute of Technology in the MBA program.
Prior to academia, Dr. Snyder served as Executive Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer of Ensec, Inc., Miami, Fla., and Sao Paul, Brazil and served
as General Manager, Vice Presidential Level of AT&T, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Dr. Snyder's educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Innovation
and Leadership, Wilmington College, New Castle, Delaware; a Master of Business
Administration in Strategic Management, Barry University, Miami Shores,
Florida; and a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Management, Barry
University, Miami Shores, Florida.
In addition to his position at Indiana Tech, Dr. Snyder also serves as chairman
of the Sister's of Providence Mission Advisory Board and chairman of the
Downtown Educational Partnership. He is a member of the Fort Wayne Business
Forum.
Snyder and his wife, Camille, have two children, Melanie and Chris, and one
grandson.

Steven R. Brody
Chairman of the Board

|
Steven Brody is the project manager of the Harrison Square Project for the City
of Fort Wayne.
Brody was senior vice president of Delaware Investment Advisers, an investment
affiliate of Lincoln Financial Group. In this capacity, he was a senior officer
of the investment real estate group and co-head of Delaware's Fort Wayne
operation. Brody was with Delaware and Lincoln affiliates since 1987 and
has 32 years of institutional real estate finance, research and asset
management experience.
Brody earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Miami
University in Oxford, Ohio.
His civic activities include being president of the Fort Wayne/Allen County
Convention and Tourism Authority, serving on the executive board of the
Downtown Improvement District, working with the Downtown Coordinating Council,
and being a trustee for The Malpas Trust. He was also the co-chairman of the
City of Fort Wayne's Downtown Task Force. Brody and his wife, Carolyn, have
four children. His interests include reading, travel, and sports.

Robert A. Wagner, Esq.

Robert Wagner is an attorney with Shambaugh, Kast, Beck & Williams, LLP. He
previously was a partner with Helmke, Beams, Boyer & Wagner and worked as
chief trial deputy prosecutor attorney for the Allen County Prosecutor's
Office.
Wagner holds a bachelor's degree in government from Valparaiso University and a
law degree from Indiana University.
He is a board member for Concordia Educational Association and Concordia
Educational Foundation. He is a member of the Allen County, Indiana State and
American Bar Associations He previously served on the boards of Holy Cross
Lutheran Church, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, the Allen County Bar
Association and Park Center.
Wagner and his wife, Elsa, have three children, Steven, Brian, and Valerie. His
interests include family, homes, and current events.

Jeanne E. Longsworth

|
Jeanne E. Longsworth recently opened her own firm, Longsworth Law Offices, LLC.
Prior to opening her firm, Longsworth was a partner and practiced for more than
20 years at one of Indiana's largest law firms.
Longsworth earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University
and her law degree from Valparaiso. Longsworth is a Certified Public Accountant
and an Indiana Estate Planning and Estate Administration Specialist.
In addition to serving on Indiana Tech's Board of Trustees, Longsworth currently
serves on the Board of Directors and is an officer of each of the following
organizations: The Valiant Foundation, Inc.; The Helen P. Van Arnam Foundation,
Inc.; and the Mary E. Van Drew Charitable Foundation, Inc. Longsworth is also a
member of the Allen County, Indiana State and American Bar Associations and the
Indiana CPA Society.
Longsworth and her husband, Keith, reside in Fort Wayne.

Steven R. Abbott - BSCHE '69

|
Steven Abbott is past president and CEO of Essex Group Inc. His career
experience also includes serving as principal of Abbott Enterprises; president
and COO of Superior Telecom Inc.; president of the wire and cable sector,
industrial products division, and power conducting division at Essex; and vice
president of operations, director of engineering and plant manager at Essex.
Abbott is an Indiana Tech alumnus, earning his Bachelor of Science in Chemical
Engineering in 1969. He also holds a master's degree in chemical engineering
from Carnegie Mellon University, and is a graduate of the Executive Management
Program at Penn State and the Hartford Graduate Center. Indiana Tech awarded
him an honorary doctorate in 1996.
In addition the Indiana Tech Board, Abbott is a board member of the St. Charles
Yacht Club in Fort Myers, Fla., and General Science and Technology Corp in
Miami, Fla. He also is an executive committee member for the Sanibel Captiva
Sail & Power Squadron. In the past, he has been a member of the Executive
Committee and Board of Directors of the National Electrical Manufacturers
Association in Washington, D.C., and the Board of Directors of the Copper
Development Association in New York, N.Y.
Abbott and his wife, Mary Paige, have two children. His interests include golf,
boating, skiing, and travel.

Cheri A. Becker, BSHSM '94

|
Cheri Becker is the executive director of Invent Tomorrow, Inc. She is the past
president of the Northeast Indiana Business Assistance Corp., and past
executive director of the Small Business Development Center of Northeast
Indiana.
Becker is an Indiana Tech alumna, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Human
Services Management in 1994 along with certificates from Ball State
University's Economic Development Academy and Center for Entrepreneurial
Resources. Becker is a 1988 graduate of Leadership Fort Wayne and served as
Leadership Fort Wayne's Alumni Association president in 1994 and '95. She has
served on the boards of many human service and arts organizations as well as
the organizing and founding committees to establish the St. Francis University
Family Business Center and the Northeast Indiana Entrepreneurial Alliance.
Becker served as the Chief Executive for Imagine Nation, a Children's Museum in
South Carolina, and as the director for internal communication and community
involvement at Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, Inc.
Becker worked as an independent contractor providing strategic planning, grant
writing, fund development, marketing and planning services to a variety of
clients including the City of Fort Wayne, the Downtown Improvement District,
the 431 Foundation, and the Non-profit Association of Northeast Indiana. Becker
is a co-founder of the Fort Wayne Area Public Safety Foundation, Inc. Becker
serves as Vice President on the Fort Wayne Museum of Art Board of Trustees, is
on the board of the Indiana High-speed Rail Initiative and is a director on the
Board of the Northeast Indiana Non-profit Association. In addition she serves
as the Table Captain Chairperson on the YWCA's steering committee for the 2006
Circle of Women luncheon and 2006 co-chair of Parkview Foundations' Cookin Men
fundraising event to support women's health.
Becker's past community involvement has included Home for New Beginnings,
Opportunity Greenville, United Neighborhood Economic Development Corp., Speech
Hearing and Learning Center, South Carolina Chapter Nature Conservancy, Three
Rivers Festival, Community Development Corporation of Fort Wayne, Leadership
Fort Wayne Alumni Association, Citizen's Advisory Committee of the City of Fort
Wayne, St. Francis College Family Business Institute, Urban Land Institute Task
Force of the Fort Wayne Enterprise Zone Association, Three Rivers Literacy
Alliance, Northeast Indiana Entrepreneurial Business Alliance, Fort Wayne
Ballet.
Becker has received recognition as Who's Who In Finance & Industry, Who's
Who of American Women, Who's Who in America, and Fort Wayne Urban League's
Outstanding Community Leadership Award.
Becker and her husband, Mark, reside in Fort Wayne.

Margaret A. Canales, Ph.D.

Peggy Canales has been an associate professor of Industrial and Manufacturing
Engineering at Indiana Tech since 2001. Her awards include Who's Who Among
Teachers in America's Colleges and Universities, Intergreek Fraternity
Council's Teacher of the Year, Outstanding Engineering Faculty, and Outstanding
Engineering Adjunct Faculty. Canales' academic credentials include a bachelor's
degree from Tri-State University, master's degrees from Indiana Wesleyan
University, and a doctorate from Columbus University.
Canales currently serves as chair of the Academic Advising Committee. In the
past, she served as the regional director of Indiana's Manufacturing Extension
Partnership, an entity of Indiana Business Modernization and Technology Corp.
and Department of Commerce's National Institutes of Science and Technology.
Canales also served as president of the Tri-State Student Chapter of the
Society of Women Engineers. She provides pro bono assistance to area
manufactures as a consultant, along with lecturing for IPFW's Continuing
Education Program. Canales is a member of the Fort Wayne Senior Chapter of SWE
(Society of Women Engineers) and SME (Society of Mechanical Engineers) where
she serves as a faculty advisor. She also volunteers with the Small Business
Development Center.
Canales and her husband, Ricardo, have four children. She enjoys spending free
time with her family, traveling, network marketing, and weight training.

Michael Evans is President and CEO of AIT Laboratories in Indianapolis.
Previously, he was Director of the Graduate Program in Toxicology and Director
of the Indiana State Department of Toxicology at Indiana University School of
Medicine.
Evans has been a faculty member at Indiana University School of Medicine,
Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, Sichuan Institute of Chinese Materia,
University of Illinois College of Medicine, Cook County Graduate School of
Medicine, the OSHA Training Institute in Des Plaines, Ill., Illinois Institute
of Technology, and University of California at Berkeley. He was director and
co-founder of the American Institute for Drug Detection.
Evans holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from St. Joseph
College and a Ph.D. in Toxicology from Indiana University School of Medicine.
He was an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at the NIEHS Center for Environmental
Toxicology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Cecil Gene Dominique - BSCE '61

Gene Dominique retired as vice president of engineering with Reelcraft
Industries, Inc. He received patents for a follower plate wiper, an automatic
fog spray attachment, and an ergonomic hose reel. Previously he was a project
manager with Aro Corporation.
Dominique is a graduate of Indiana Tech, having earned a Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical Engineering in 1961. He is a member of the Indiana Tech Alumni
Association. He currently serves as the board president and has been the vice
president, secretary, and treasurer. He is chairman of the Student Liaison
Committee and Scholarship Committee.
Dominique is a transportation volunteer for Interfaith Hospitality Network, a
member of the Fort Wayne Engineers Club, Aldersgate United Methodist Church,
and the American Legion. He is a class coordinator with Lake Tippecanoe Boater
Safety. Previously he was chairman, architectural control for Oak Borough
Community Association, a member and officer of the Loyal Order of Moose in
Bryan, Ohio, and a member of the Bryan, Ohio, Coin and Stamp Club. He also has
been involved with the Boy Scouts and Little League, along with having been a
paratrooper with the U.S. Army.
Dominique and his wife, Carol, have three children, Bradley, Tamra, and Diana.
His interests include leather crafting, knife making, fishing, and lawn work.

Scott Glaze is the chairman and CEO of Fort Wayne Metals Research Products Corp.
Glaze became president of Fort Wayne Metals in 1985. The company has since
grown from one facility employing 30 people to five facilities with more than
350 employees in Indiana and Ireland. Fort Wayne Metals has become the world
leader in its field.
Glaze has been a member of the medical device committees of ASTM and ISO and has
written numerous national and international standards for medical materials.
His professional experience also includes Quoin Enterprises LLC and LABECA LLC.
Glaze is a member of ASTM International, American Society of Materials, and
Wire Association International.
Glaze's community involvement includes serving as the director of the Indiana
State Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Alliance, secretary of
the Northeast Indiana Corporate Council, and member of the Purdue Ciber
Advisory Council.
He received a bachelor's degree in history from Indiana University-Purdue
University, Fort Wayne.
Glaze lives in Roanoke with his wife, Melissa, and his three daughters. His
interests include history, technology, education, and economic development in
Fort Wayne and Indiana.

Diane Humphrey is a retired elementary school teacher. She taught kindergarten
and elementary school in Fort Wayne at Harrison Hill and Southern Heights
schools and while teaching in Bluffton, she taught at Poplar Grove, Columbian,
and Park schools. Humphrey earned a Master's of Science in Education from
Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a Master's of Arts in
Education from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
Humphrey currently serves as a board member for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic;
Wells Community Boys & Girls Club, Inc.; and Civic Theatre. Her past civic and
professional activities include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana,
Inc.; Creative Arts Council of Wells Co., Inc; North Side High School Alumni
Association; and Caylor Nickel Foundation, Inc.
Humphrey was recently was honored by being named Wells County's 2008 Outstanding
Citizen of the Year.
Diane Humphrey is a resident of Bluffton, Indiana. She has three children and
nine grandchildren. Her interests include traveling, cooking, gardening,
history, reading, and playing bridge.

Joseph Jordan - BSBAM4 '91

|
Joe Jordan is executive director of East Wayne Street Center. Prior professional
experience includes human resource facilitation/EEOC officer for Slater Steel
Corp. and director of employment and training for Fort Wayne Urban League.
Jordan earned a Master of Management from Indiana Wesleyan University; a
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana Tech; an Associate
of Science in Liberal Arts from Jackson Community College. Jordan also
completed Certified Professional Prevention Specialist for the State of
Indiana, is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Interpersonal I Human Relation, and
completed the 40-hour Human Resources Certification at Michigan State
University School of Labor.
Jordan's civic activities include Board of Directors membership with the Fort
Wayne Urban League, Fort Wayne Rescue Mission, Martin Luther King Montessori
School, United Way of Allen County, and President of Christian Urban
Ministries. He is also Commissioner of Fort Wayne Metropolitan Human Relations
Commission, a member of Fort Wayne Weed and Seed Steering Committee, a mentor
with Fort Wayne Big Brothers and Big Sisters Organization, and a graduate of
Leadership Fort Wayne 1998.
Awards received by Jordan include Ink Magazine's "50 Most Influential African
Americans in Northeast Indiana"; 2000 Indiana Purdue University of Fort Wayne,
"Great Men Now and Ten", Community Service Award; 2001 Saponi Health Staffing
Community Service Award, Indiana Tech Upper-Class Scholar Award; Indiana Tech
Sportsmanship Award, Indiana Tech Hayashi Award; Scholastic All-American

Edwin Metcalfe is a retired vice president and general manager with WPTA-TV.
Prior to his career in the broadcast business, he was a professional musician.

Vince Robinson is editor, Ink Newspaper; co-owner, Diversity Media Group, Inc.;
and host of Comcast Newsmakers. He was director of public information and
government relations for the City of Fort Wayne. Robinson was also business
reporter, managing editor, and interim news director for WRTV-TV 6 in
Indianapolis as well as News Director for WANE-TV 15 in Fort Wayne. He has been
a news anchor in both Cleveland and Fort Wayne.
Robinson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Indiana University,
Bloomington and taught journalism at Indiana University/Purdue University
Indianapolis.
Robinson is a member of African/African-American Historical Society and Museum;
Junior Achievement of Northeast Indiana Board of Directors; Urban Coalition;
Imagine Schools Advisory Committee; Fort Wayne Urban League Marketing
Committee; and Volunteer mentor/counselor for the Women's Enterprise Women's

Patricia Schaefer was Director for the Muncie Public Library from 1959 to 1986.
Her other professional experience includes employment with Columbus Public
Library Assistant, Fort Wayne Fine Arts Foundation Secretary, Home Telephone

Schaefer earned an undergraduate degree in music from Northwestern University, a
master's in music from the University of Illinois, and a master's in library

Gregg C. Sengstack is SVP-International
& Fueling Group at Franklin Electric Co., Inc., in
Bluffton, Ind. He has held various positions in the finance organization of
Franklin Electric since 1988.
He has been a member of the board of the Indiana CPA Society and currently
serves on the board of Canterbury School.
Sengstack holds a bachelor's degree from Bucknell University and an MBA from the
University of Chicago.
He and his wife, Dianne, have three children, Victoria, Christopher, Alexa. His
hobbies include family, flying, and sailing.

Paul W. Seitz

Paul Seitz has served the construction industry as president of three major
companies in Fort Wayne: May Stone and Sand, Inc., Erie-Haven, Inc., and The
Aboite Corporation. He contributed to the limestone and mineral aggregates and
construction industries at the local, state and national levels in sales,
administration, and management for more than 50 years.
Seitz earned an associate degree in business administration at Tiffin University
and was awarded an honorary doctorate by Indiana Tech in 1981. He has been on
the Board of Trustees since 1963.
Seitz's past civic activities include being chairman of the board for the Irene
Byron Health Center and the National Limestone Institute; chairman for the
United Fund of Allen County, the YMCA, and the Fine Arts Program of Fort Wayne;
and a member of the Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of Fort
Wayne and Allen County, Member, Trinity English Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Fort Wayne Quest Club, Leadership Prayer Breakfast, Fort Wayne Country Club,
Orchard Ridge Country Club, Shriners, Mason and Scottish Rite, Big Brothers/Big
Sisters, and Lion's Club Central.
Seitz was inducted into the Business Hall of Fame in 1986. The administrative
building at Indiana Tech was renamed the Seitz Center in 1994 in honor of his
three decades of service to the university.

Nicole Turner-Ridley holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from
University of Saint Francis. She recently completed the Institute of
Organizational Effectiveness program at Taylor University.
Her civic involvement includes the METRO YMCA Board, Downtown Rotary Service
Club, The Fort Wayne Urban League Board, Knight Foundation Community Advisory
Committee, and the Court House Preservation Trust Board. In the past she has
served on The Gingerbread House Board, AISEDA Board, SOAR, CDC Board and the
Fort Wayne Urban League Gala Committee.
Turner-Ridley has been featured by The Journal Gazette as a future Leader in
Fort Wayne, by Fort Wayne Magazine as a Future 40 under 40, and by INK
Newspaper as one of the50 most influential African Americans in Northeast
Indiana.
Turner-Ridley is married to Irvin Ridley and has one son. Her interests include
watching her son participate in his high school extra curricular activities,
shopping and relaxing at home.

Donald Willis is chairman of Fourth Wave and president of FourD Development,
LLC. He is past president of Command Systems Inc. and worked for Magnavox
Electric Systems for 22 years.
Willis holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from University of
Evansville and did advanced studies at the University of Michigan.
He is president of FourD Education Foundation, which operates Keystone School.
He has 43 years of entrepreneurial and business development. Willis served the
U.S. Navy as a computer systems research scientist.
Willis is a lecturer in logic design and display technology at Purdue University
and George Washington University.
Willis and his wife, Doris, have two children.
