Title IX Compliance

It is the policy of Indiana Tech to comply with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits discrimination (including sexual harassment and sexual violence) based on gender in the University's educational programs and activities. Title IX also prohibits retaliation for asserting claims of sexual discrimination. Indiana Tech has designated Title IX Coordinators listed on the complaint form to coordinate the university's compliance with and response to inquiries concerning Title IX. To report a Title IX violation or complaint, please use our Title IX complaint form. A person may also file a complaint with the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights regarding an alleged violation of Title IX by calling 1-800-421-3481.

To file a complaint with the university, please complete the online form which upon submission will be delivered to the compliance officer. If you wish to meet in person regarding your complaint, you may contact the appropriate committee member below to meet with them in their office or at another location but the complaint will be documented to initiate the investigation process. If you are unable to complete this form and would like to make a verbal complaint, please call the compliance officer to schedule an appointment.

Upon receipt of a complaint, the university will make every effort to keep the complaint confidential to the extent possible while conducting the investigation. The university will not disseminate information to those who do not have a need to know.

Please feel free to contact our offices if you have any questions regarding the process for filing or investigating complaints of discrimination (including sexual harassment).

Note: A victim of discrimination or harassment is encouraged to use the university’s internal complaint process. Persons believing they have been discriminated against or harassed may seek assistance from government agencies such as the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the federal Department of Labor, or Office of Civil Rights.
