Below is the timeline for Indiana Tech Law School’s admissions cycle during the 2013-14 academic year. The dates are approximate and are subject to change. Please revisit this page regularly to obtain the most up-to-date information.
Fall 2012
From September through November, members of the admissions staff and the faculty, along with the dean, will be visiting area college and university pre-law fairs to promote Indiana Tech Law School. If your school is hosting a pre-law fair and you do not see our school listed as a confirmed participant, please email us at law@indianatech.edu so that we can include your school in our schedule.
September 2012
Our admissions applications will be available. We will have both a binding early decision application and a regular application. A link will be posted on our web site and the application will be accessible through the Law School Admissions Council. LSAC will process all of our applications and we will accept electronic applications only. Our application fee will be $50, but if LSAC provides you with a fee waiver for its services, we will give you a fee waiver as well.
October 2012
The Admissions Committee will begin to review applications. As of today, we anticipate that our Charter Class will consist of 100 students whose median LSAT score will be 156 and whose median undergraduate GPA will be 3.5. Tuition for the first class will be $29,500, which is significantly lower than the average private law school tuition rate. Scholarships will be available for underrepresented populations and for students with superior academic and LSAT credentials.
November 2012
Admissions decisions will be made and accepted students will be given scholarship information if they are eligible to receive a scholarship.
March 2013
Sometime in March 2013, we will hold an open house for all admitted students on the Indiana Tech campus. We will provide you with housing information, community resource information, and other important information that will help you make the decision about which law school you will attend.
April 1, 2013
First deposits of $100 will be due in order to secure your seat in the Charter Class. The deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to your tuition.
June 1, 2013
Second deposits of $300 are due in order to hold your place in the Charter Class. The deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to your tuition.
August 2013

When will the law school open?
The first class of students will begin in the fall of 2013.
What are the admissions requirements?
Applicants must have earned their bachelor’s degree and have an Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) score that is less than five years old. Additionally, applicants must follow all directions associated with Tech Law’s application (found on LSAC’s web site).
How many students will be admitted?
Our goal is to begin with a charter class of 100 students. Eventually the class size will reach 120 a class and the total enrollment of the law school is expected to be approximately 360 students.
Can students apply now?
Those interested in applying to the Indiana Tech Law School can do so on the Law School Admission Council web site.
Where will it be located?
The Law School will be located on the west side of the Indiana Tech Fort Wayne campus.
 
Will the law school be accredited?
The law school will be established according to the American Bar Association Standards for Approval of Law Schools. The law school can then apply for provisional approval by the ABA after being in operation for one year. Provisional approval lasts for three years before ABA considers full approval.

Will part-time or online options be offered?
No. At the outset, the program will be a full-time, on-ground, day-only program.
What will tuition be?
Tuition is projected to be approximately $29,500 for the 2013-2014 academic year.
