A New Kind of Law School
The Indiana Tech Law School will open in Fort Wayne in the fall 2013.
Peter C. Alexander has been hired as the founding dean of the university's law school. Curriculum details and admissions requirements are in development, while specialties under consideration include leadership, international law, and intellectual property law.

Indiana Tech Law School Dean Peter C. Alexander announced today that United States Bankruptcy Judge Judith Klaswick Fitzgerald, who will retire from the federal bench this summer, will join the full-time Indiana Tech Law School faculty. Fitzgerald, a native of Elmora, Penn., currently sits as a bankruptcy judge in Pittsburgh, Penn., and she also holds court in the District of Delaware and in the U.S. Virgin Islands. » Full story

Muncie attorney Eric C. Welch has endowed the first scholarship for the Indiana Tech Law School. Welch, the owner of Welch & Associates, LLC, has pledged $20,000 to the university to establish the endowment. » Full story

Indiana Tech celebrated its progress toward opening northeast Indiana’s first law school with a ceremonial groundbreaking at the construction site today.
