Education Experience
Working with college students started as an avocation and is now my vocation. I have been teaching part-time since 1980: first at University of Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky University, St. Francis University, Brown Mackie College and at IndianaTech (since 1996). I have been teaching full-time at Indiana Tech since the summer of 2007. I also teach online for Indiana Tech.
Past Employment and Volunteer Work
I was employed full time in business and industry for over 38 years. I have worked in property and casualty insurance, life insurance, discrete manufacturing, continuous manufacturing, consulting, and financial industries. I was president of my own consulting firm for a number of years. I started my work life in applied information technology as a programmer/analyst and progressed to various positions including project leader, chief information officer, chief technology architect, and chief security officer.
Over the last 10 years I have dedicated part of my free time to volunteer work. It now includes the Allen County Council on Aging where I am a board member and treasurer, my homeowner’s association where I am a long-term board member, treasurer, newsletter editor, and member of the architectural committee. I also teach 2nd and 3rd grades about business for Junior Achievement, and am a continuous blood donor for American Red Cross.
