FORT WAYNE, Ind. –The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference office announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon and Tori Singstock won the women’s Offensive Player of the Week honors while Wiebke Schlender claimed her fourth women’s golf Golfer of the Week award.
Singstock, a Southgate, Mich. native, netted her second hat trick of the season on Setp. 25 in a 9-3 win against Cleary. The sophomore forward also assisted on two other goals to finish the game with eight points. Singstock currently leads the 5-4-1 Warriors with 22 points, nine goals and four assists.
Singstock and her teammates return to the pitch on Wednesday, Oct. 2 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Cornerstone at 7 p.m.
Schlender, a Paderborn, Germany native, won her third straight weekly award as she won her fourth event in five tries, including three in a row, as she carded a four-over 75, besting Courtney Dye by one stroke to win her second WHAC Jamboree and help give the Warriors an eight stroke conference lead.
Schlender and the Warriors are in action today looking to claim their third WHAC tournament and increase their conference lead. They will also compete this weekend in Fort Wayne, Ind. at the Brookwood Golf Course as they take part in the USF Fall Invitational on Oct. 4-5.
