Beavercreek, OH – The Indiana Tech men’s and women’s bowling teams opened up their inaugural season at the Orange and Black Classic Tournament sponsored by Pikeville College this past weekend. The men’s A Team finished in 36th place and the B Team finished in 38th place out of the 60 teams competing. The women’s team placed 38th out of 38 teams.
Sophomore Tony Henry (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger HS) led the Warrior A Team with a 190.83 average and a game high of 207, good enough for 82nd place overall. Kyle Shuman (Butler, IN/Eastside HS) finished in 123rd place with a 181.16 average.
Junior RJ Weick (Ft. Wayne, IN/Elmhurst HS) had the best finish for any Warrior, finishing in 63rd place overall. Weick led the Warrior B Team with a 197.5 average and a game high of 245. Kyle White placed 125th with a 180.83 average.
Alicia Bowman (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central HS) paced the women’s team finishing in 82nd place with a 166.33 average and a game high of 236. Mary Woehnker (Kendallville, IN/East Noble HS) averaged a 149 and finished in 113th place.
The Warriors are back in action on October 30-31 in Lafayette, IN at the Boilermaker Classic.
