Lafayette, IN – The Indiana Tech men’s and women’s bowling teams competed at the Boilermaker Classic this past weekend. Out of the 38 men's teams competing, the Warriors A Team just missed placing in the top 10, finishing 11 pins back of Calumet's A Team to earn 11th place. The B Team placed 32nd and the women’s team finished in 25th place out of 25 teams.
Leading the Warriors A Team was sophomore Tony Henry (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger) finishing in 11th place overall. Henry averaged a 204.6 average and had a game high of 268. Kyle Shuman (Butler, IN/Eastside) finished in 66th place with a 181.8 average.
Kyle White paced the B Team with a 173.8 average and a high game of 181, finishing in 84th place overall. Mike McIntyre carried a 173.75 average for the tournament and a game high of 214.
Junior Alicia Bowman (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) led the women’s team finishing in 43rd place with a 166.6 average and a game high of 204. Mary Woehnker (Kendallville, IN/East Noble) had a high game of 170 while averaging 158.4.
The Warriors return to action on November 13-14 for the S.I. Elite Invitational in Fairview Heights, IL.
