Men's Results | Women's Results
Indianapolis, IN – The Indiana Tech men’s and women’s bowling teams kicked off the program’s second season of play at the Storm Western Shootout at Western Bowl in Indianapolis, Indiana. On the men’s side, the Warriors landed in the top 10, finishing 8th out of the 22 teams competing. The women’s team placed 12th out of the 16 teams.
Leading the Warrior men was junior Tony Henry (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger) finishing in 30th overall, averaging a 192.8, and a six game total of 1157. Right behind him was fellow junior Tyler Keele (Ft. Wayne, IN/Elmhurst) in 31st place. Keele had a six game total of 1156 and a 192.7 average. Freshman Travis Valentine (Leslie, MI/Mason) placed 57th in his collegiate debut, averaging a 181.3, with a total pinfall of 1088.
Sophomore Mary Woehnker (Kendallville, IN/East Noble) led the women’s team finishing in 44th place with a 163.5 average and a six game total of 981. Newcomers Krista Langford (Butler, IN/Eastside) and Megan Kohler (Ft. Wayne, IN/Concordia Lutheran) were close behind in 57th and 60th place respectively. Langford had a 149.5 game average and Kohler finished with a 148.5.
