Lafayette, IN – The Indiana Tech men’s and women’s bowling teams were back in action this past weekend at the Boilermaker Classic held at Arrowhead Bowl in Lafayette, Indiana. Both teams finished in 15th place, the men out of 24 teams and the women out of 18.
The men were paced by junior Tyler Keele (Ft. Wayne, IN/Elmhurst) who put together a five game score of 1021. Keele’s performance landed him in the top 10 in 8th place with a 204.2 average and 1021 total pins. Fellow junior Jaiden Metzger (Ft. Wayne, IN/Snider) finished with 917 total pins with a 183.4 average to place 58th. There were 266 men’s bowlers competed in the tournament.
Meanwhile, the women were led by senior Alicia Bowman (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) who finished in 71st place. Bowman averaged 155.0 over a five game span to end with 775 total pins. Freshman Brooke Copenhaver (Auburn, IN/DeKalb) placed 90th with a 170.0 average in four games. A total of 167 women’s bowlers competed in the tournament.
The Warriors return to action on November 12-13 at the 2011 Raider Classic in Kettering, Ohio.
