Fort Wayne, Ind. – As part of the new Warrior Pride program, each month the athletic department will name one male and one female athlete the Warrior of the Month. Athletes can earn recognition for their hard work on the field, excellence in the classroom, or being active in their community.
The Warrior of the Month Award winners for the month of December are Dontaey Paige of the men’s track team and Adella King of the women’s track team.
Dontaey Paige, a sophomore from Fort Wayne, Indiana, finished 1st and 3rd in two 60 meter dashes and 2nd in both 200 meter races in December. He is currently ranked 3rd in the 60 and 2nd in the 200 in the NAIA. Paige also owns a GPA over 3.0 coming into this semester.
Adella King, a junior from Detroit, Michigan, currently leads the NAIA in the 60, 200, 400 and 4 x 400. She has not lost a race at any distance this season. King also has a career GPA of 2.89 at Indiana Tech.
