Tech Student-Athletes Achieve Academic Success

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech student-athletes have once again done an excellent job of balancing academics and athletics as the Warrior Athletic Department is proud to announce that the 23 Tech teams have collectively posted a 3.0 grade-point average for the 2011 Fall semester!

In addition, 236 athletes will be honored with Coach's and Dean's List Awards at the Feb. 15 basketball game for their academic achievements this fall. Coach's Award recipients earned a 3.25-3.5 GPA and Dean's List students earned a 3.5 and above.

Twenty-three Tech student-athletes were listed on the Academic All-WHAC teams for their hard work. To receive this honor an athlete must be at least a junior and have a GPA of 3.25.

Seventeen Warriors received recognition by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as NAIA Scholar-Athletes. To qualify, a student must be nominated by each institution’s head coach, maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status.
