WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The Indiana Tech bowling teams kicked off their 2013-14 season over the weekend at the Midwest Collegiate Championships held at AMF Bowlero. The Warrior men finished 26th in the 42-team field while the women finished 16th of 30 teams.
Christopher Roti paced the Tech men with a 113th-place finish, averaging a 188.25 over nine games and collecting 1,506 total pins. Jacob Camacho also finished in the top 150 of the 298 bowler tournament as he averaged a 178.63 while collecting 1,429 total pins.
On the women’s side, Brooke Copenhaver was the top performer with a 44th-place finish in the 207 competitor field, collecting 1,529 pins for a 169.89 average. Emalee Wiser followed in 60th place, carrying a 181.88 average with a total of 1,455 pins, while Quinisha Burnett also finished in the top 100, in 82nd place with a 172.00 average and a total of 1,376 pins.
Robert Morris University (Ill.) won the men’s tournament with 11,881 total pins while Webber International won the women’s championship with 11, 150 total pins.
The Warriors return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to take part in the WHAC Jamboree No. 1 hosted by Siena Heights.
