RESULTS - MEN | WOMEN
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech bowling teams competed at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Bowling Jamboree No. 2 hosted by Aquinas College at Lincoln Lanes on Saturday. The men’s and women’s varsity teams each finished fourth in the seven-team tournament, with the men’s junior varsity finishing fifth and the women third.
The men’s team finished with 6,986 total pins while Lawrence Tech won the event with 7,417 pins with Northwestern Ohio (7,268) in second and Davenport (7,179) in third. Indiana Tech ‘B’ finished with 6,458 pins while Davenport ‘B’ took first with 6,727 pins.
The Warriors varsity team was led by Jacob Camacho who finished fourth in total pinfall with 894 pins while finishing fifth in average with a 223.5 across four games. Josh Stier was the only other varsity participant for the men to finish in the top-50, placing 35th with 716 pins and a 179 average.
The junior varsity team was paced by an eighth place finish from Torrion Parker as he collected 823 pins and averaged 205.75 over four games. Alex Walters was the only other Warrior in the top-50, placing 42nd with 692 pins and a 173 average.
The women’s team finished with 6,171 total pins while Davenport won the event with 7,086 pins with UNOH (6,541) finishing second and Lawrence Tech (6,274) placing third. The women’s junior varsity squad took third with 5,594 pins behind Davenport (5,970) and Siena Heights (5,817).
Emalee Wiser paced the Warriors varsity squad with a 12th place finish with 721 total pins and a 180.25 averaged over her four games. Mary Woehnker and Rachel Atkins joined Wiser in the top-25 with Woehnker finishing 15th with 704 pins and a 176 average while Atkins finished 17th with 689 pins and a four-game average of 172.25.
The junior varsity squad placed four athletes in the top-25, led by a 13th-place finish from Alyssa Prickett who tallied 718 pins and a 179.5 average. Jenna Shaffer finished 19th with 662 pins while Katie Weaver and Terrica McKinney placed 23rd and 24th with 639 and 634 pins, respectively.
The Warriors return to the lanes on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29-30 when they travel to Fairview Heights, Ill. for the National Team Match hosted by McKendree.
