MEN | WOMEN | FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Indiana Tech men’s and women’s bowling teams competed at the National Team Match Games hosted by McKendree University over the weekend, placing 19th and 20th, respectively.
The men finished 19th with 10,043 total pins, led by Cody Niblock who was the teams’ top finisher with 929 pins in five games, averaging 185.8 while Jacob Comacho added 922 pins across five games while averaging 184.4 per game.
Wichita State won the team event with 11,890 total pins with Robert Morris (Ill.) finishing a close second with 11,775 pins. A.J. Johnson of McKendree won the individual title with 1,511 total pins and a six game average of 251.8.
On the women’s side, the team finished 20th with 9,210 total pins, led by a 16th-place finish by Mary Woehnker who tallied 1,157 pins across six games for an average of 192.8 per game. Also finishing in the top-30 for the Warriors was Brooke Copenhaver who finished 27th with 1,128 pins and an average of 188 per game.
Wichita State also won the women’s event with 11,215 total pins while Webber International finished second with 11, 198 pins. Alicia Hartley of Mount Mercy won the individual title with 1,274 total pins and an average of 212.3.
The Warriors will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 1 when they travel to Farmington, Mich. to take part in WHAC Jamboree No. 3 hosted by Lawrence Tech.
