LEHIGH VALLEY CLASSIC | KEYSTONE CLASSIC
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Over the weekend the men’s and women’s bowling teams competed in two events in Allentown, Pa. On Dec. 27-28 the teams took part in the Keystone Quaker Roto Grip Classic where the men finished 17th out of 37 teams while the women placed eight in the 16 team field. On Dec. 29-30 the teams bowled in the Lehigh Valley Classic with the men taking 25th out of 36 teams, having to bowl without two bowlers, while the women placed 11th in the 15 team field.
Mary Woehnker paced the women at the Roto Grip Classic, placing 18th with 945 total pins in five games, while Brooke Copenhaver also finished in the top-50 with 825 total pins in five games. On the men’s side, Jaiden Metzger was the top finisher with 906 pins in five games while Devin Arick also bowled five games, collecting 895 pins.
Samantha Pasch led the way at the Lehigh Valley Classic as she finished 14th with a 188.2 average, collecting 941 pins in five games while Woehker finished 34th with a 173 average, knocking down 865 pin sin her five games. Arick packed the men with a 195.4 pin per game average with 977 pins in five games while Jacob Camacho was the only other male to bowl five games, finishing with a 185 average while tallying 925 total pins.
The two teams return to Fort Wayne, Ind. as the Warriors host the final Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree on Saturday, Jan. 4 at Kingpins Bowl. The day starts at 8 a.m. with team games followed by Baker games.
