Kettering, Ohio – The Indiana Tech bowling teams traveled to Kettering, Ohio over the weekend for the Wright State University Raider Classic where the men’s team placed 9th and women’s team finished in 10th.
Senior Tony Henry (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger) paced the Warrior men, placing 41st out of the 287-person field. Henry collected 999 pins through five games for a 199.8 average. He posted a high-game of 278. Sophomore Travis Valentine (Leslie, MI/Mason) was close behind in 48th place with a pin total of 982. He averaged 196.4 with a high-score of 208.
On the women’s side, it was sophomore Brooke Copenhaver (Auburn, IN/DeKalb) leading the way for the Warriors with a top-20 finish. She placed 20th out of 118 bowlers, totaling 940 pins. Copenhaver averaged a 188 over five games with a high-game of 200. Fellow sophomore Jenna Shaffer (Sidney, OH/Sidney) followed in 44th with 850 pins. She carried a 170 average with a high-score of 183.
The Warriors return to action on Saturday, Nov. 17 for the second WHAC Jamboree hosted by Aquinas College at Lincoln Lanes in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
