Vancouver, WA – At the 56th Annual NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Championship held on Saturday in Vancouver, Washington, Indiana Tech’s lone representative Aaron Belcher (Mooresville, IN/Mooresville) finished in 138th place out of the 312 runners.
The sophomore completed a very wet and tough 8k course at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in a season and lifetime best of 26:04.
“Aaron represented us very well this morning,” said Coach Josh Wolfe. “Being just a sophomore, he gives our program much hope.”
Oklahoma Christian University captured its first-ever team title and Wayland Baptist University’s Kennedy Kithuka defended his individual championship with a time of 23:15. Kithuka’s time was just one second shy of breaking the 15-year championship record of 23:14 set by Silah Misoi of Life University in 1996.
