For Immediate Release
Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech cross country Coach Josh Wolfe is proud to announce the signing of Presidential Scholarship winner Brian Larabel (Pullman, MI/Bloomingdale). Brian will join the distance squad this fall and compete in both cross country and track.
Brian's excellent high school grades and tests scores positioned him to apply for the prestigious Presidential Scholarship, of which only eight are given each year and pays for his tuition as long as he maintains certain academic criteria.
Brian has run personal bests of 16:48(5k), 4:45(1600), and 10:10 (3200).
Coach Wolfe on Brian's signing: "Brian has a lot to offer our team. He overcame a unique childhood to become an excellent example for those around him. I see him as being a model of academic performance for our team for the next four years, all while competing for a varsity spot amidst a very talented group. He appears to have shown the dedication necessary to be successful in both environments. We are excited to have him."
