POLL | KANSAS CITY, Kan. –For the first time in four years, the Indiana Tech men’s cross country team is ranked in the Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top-25, coming in at No. 23, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) office announced on Wednesday.
The Warriors enter the poll after several weeks of receiving votes, sitting just outside the top-25. Despite not competing for several weeks, an impressive early start to the 2013 season by the Warriors has gained them national recognition. The last time the Tech male harriers were ranked was Aug. 26, 2009, when they were selected 24th in the preseason coaches’ poll, also the last date both teams were ranked nationally as the women are No. 23 as well.
The Warriors will take their No. 23 rankings with them on Friday when they travel to Lansing, Mich. to take part in the Lansing Invitational on Friday, Oct. 4.
