MEN | WOMEN | LANSING, Mich. -- The 23rd-ranked Indiana Tech Cross Country team traveled to Grand Woods Park in Lansing, Mich. for the Lansing Invitational hosted by Lansing Community College.
On the women's side, the Warriors were led by junior Laura Condron who finished the five-kilometer race in 19 minutes for 12th place overall. Junior Cherie Gaines finished second for Indiana Tech in 19:11, and scoring was rounded out by senior Becca Lamb, sophomore Brenna Conger and Ashlee Satterfield.
The team finished with 99 points, good enough for third place behind NCAA Division II Saginaw Valley State and 16th-ranked Cornerstone.
On the men's side, senior Aaron Belcher finished the eight-kilometer race in fourth place with a time of 25:32 while sophomore Brendan Zoltek came in second for the Warriors in 26:22. Also scoring for Tech were freshman Dylan Dominello, junior Aaron Kimbrell and sophomore Marcus Hobbs.
The team finished in third place with 124 points; placing behind NCAA Division II Grand Valley State and Division III Hope College.
The Warriors travel to take on many of the top NAIA teams on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the NAIA National Preview Meet in Lawrence, Kan.
