Fort Wayne, IN – The Indiana Tech Men’s and Women’s cross country team see themselves ranked this week for the first time since the 2009 preseason poll. In the bid to once again be a power in the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference, the Indiana Tech women off their strong performance at Indiana Wesleyan have joined the poll in 28th place. The women are coming off a 2nd place finish, only 13 points behind current number 13 ranked Indiana Wesleyan. The Men also joined the poll for the first time coming in 35th. The men are coming off a 3rd place finish only 9 points behind current number 30 Marian and besting number 34 Indiana Wesleyan by a wide margin.
Both teams will be training until their much anticipated trip to the NAIA great lakes challenge. The meet will feature over 15 ranked teams on both the men’s and women’s side with teams ranked as high as 2nd in the nation. The meet should give the men and women a chance to test their skills against all of their conference opponents and many of the elite programs in the NAIA.
