Fort Wayne, IN – Former Indiana Tech runner Alissa McKaig competed in a national cross country meet on February 5th to earn a spot on team USA, which will eventually compete against other countries in a World cross country race. McKaig placed 6th in a time of 27:07 to grab the final spot on the six member team. Her efforts will next take her to Punta Umbria, Spain on March 20th to race the best in the world.
While at Tech, McKaig was an NAIA Cross Country Champion in 2008 and was an NAIA 5,000 and 10,000-meter titlist on the track.
