4/11/09 – Ann Arbor, MI - The Indiana Tech Baseball swept the host Concordia Cardinals, 12-4 and 17-6. In the first game, the Warriors jumped out to a quick 3-0 in the first inning, keyed by a Keegan McCamment (Greensville, IN / Austin Peay Univ.) double. In the sixth inning with the score 7-4 Warriors, McCamment would strike again with a 3 run double to put the game out of reach. Senior pitcher John Paul Akers (Naples, FL / Owens CC) was effective allowing four runs on six hits and striking out seven. In the second game, the Warriors used the sixth and seventh innings to explode for 13 runs. Senior Will Richards (Toronto, ONT / Muscatine) hit a grand slam in the sixth inning to key the 8 run sixth and in the seventh, sophomore Riley Muhlenkamp (Coldwater, OH / Coldwater) hit a 2 run homer. For the day, the Warriors amassed 25 hits including 9 multiple base hits. Richards hit his ninth and tenth homers of the season. The Warriors will next host Concordia on Wednesday, April 15th. The game was originally scheduled for Monday, the 13th but had to be rescheduled due to the weather.
