Fort Wayne, Ind. – The NAIA has announced that 259 baseball student-athletes have been recognized as 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The Warriors had six players recognized for their hard work and dedication in the classroom, the second most of any school behind Azusa Pacific’s seven.
Mitchell Burton (Brownsburg, IN/Brownsburg) – Business Administration
Ken Jarrett (Mason, OH/Mason) – Business Administration
Brandon Paletta (Richardson, TX/North Texas) – Business Administration
Tyler Sailer (Hicksville, OH/Hicksville) – Accounting
Bryan Wachtel (Champaign, IL/Iowa) – Accounting
Tyler Watts (New Haven, IN/Parkland) – Business Administration
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
