Lima, Ohio – The 25th ranked Indiana Tech men’s basketball team traveled to Ohio State University-Lima on Friday night and walked off the court with an 89-41 win over the Barons to move their record to 5-0.
The Warriors hit 10 of their first 11 shots from the floor to open up a 20-8 lead and never looked back. Tech finished the night shooting 62 percent while limiting OSU-Lima to just 30 percent and forced the Barons into 23 turnovers.
Senior Melvin Brooks (Memphis, TN/Marion Military) continued his solid play with 23 points to pace the Warriors. Fellow seniors Antonio Cannon (Indianapolis, IN/Ancilla) and Jordan Hickman (Bardstown, KY/Vincennes) followed with 16 and 14 points, respectively. Cannon added five steals and Hickman dished out eight assists.
Junior Jeff Hoskins (Kalamazoo, MI/Indiana Wesleyan) chipped in 11 points and four assists, and junior Antwan Cathey (Memphis, TN/Eastern Oklahoma State) grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Up next, the Warriors will host their crosstown rival University of Saint Francis on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 8 p.m.
