The men’s basketball team was undefeated at home heading into their conference showdown with the first-place Saints of Aquinas College. Unfortunately the home court advantage did not help the Warriors as the Saints defeated Tech, 85-63. The Saints shot 50% from the field in the first half (7-16 from 3-point range) and built a 45-26 halftime lead. The Warriors mounted several attempts at a comeback but could not reel in the Saints. For the Warriors, senior Tim Browning (Detroit, MI) scored 14 points and senior Brad Webster (Barberton, OH) put in 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. The Saints were led by Pedja Lazic (25 pts. and 10 rebounds) and James Tellman scored 21 of his 27 points from 3-point range.
The Warriors wrap up their regular season at home when they host the Concordia Cardinals on Saturday, February 21 at 3 p.m. The final home game will be a “Senior Day” to honor seniors Tim Browning, Brad Webster, Sadelle Moore, Bryant Austin, and Jordan LeuVoy.
