Fort Wayne, Ind. – Seniors Melvin Brooks (Memphis, TN/Marion Military) and Jordan Hickman (Bardstown, KY/Vincennes) scored 17 points each to lead the 20th ranked Warriors past visiting Ohio State University-Lima on Saturday afternoon in the Schaefer Center.
Indiana Tech scored the first 25 points of the game on their way to the 87-23 victory over the Barons.
The Warriors shot over 55 percent from the field for the game, connecting on 61 percent of their shots from behind the arc, while holding OSU-Lima to a mere 19 percent. Tech also out-rebounded the Barons 39-26 and forced the visitors into 25 turnovers.
Every player that saw action made it into the scoring column for the Warriors. Brooks notched his third double-double of the year by adding 12 rebounds to his 17 points. Antonio Cannon (Indianapolis, IN/Ancilla) and Kody Chandler (Schoolcraft, MI/Goshen) joined Brooks and Hickman in double figures. Cannon finished with 16 points and Chandler matched his season-high with 15 while draining five three-pointers.
Indiana Tech (12-3, 5-2 WHAC) will ring in the new year against conference for Marygrove College (1-13, 1-6 WHAC) on Jan. 2 in the Schaefer Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.
