Fort Wayne, Ind. – Indiana Tech’s Antonio Cannon (Indianapolis, IN/Ancilla) has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Player of the Week for men’s basketball for the second time this season.
In two games last week, Cannon combined for 42 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Warriors to back-to-back victories. The 5-foot-10 senior from Indianapolis had 17 points to help erase a ten point second half deficit against the University of Michigan-Dearborn and followed with a career-high 25 point effort in the win over Aquinas College.
Cannon is second on the team in scoring and rebounding this season averaging 13.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. His .504 field goal percentage though is the best in the conference.
Indiana Tech will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan on Tuesday, Jan. 29 for a WHAC matchup with Concordia University beginning at 7:30 p.m.
