The men’s basketball team dropped a heartbreaker to top-ranked Aquinas College, 80-65. The Warriors jumped to a quick lead before the Saints rallied late to take a 5-point lead at the half. In the second half, the Warriors started their own rally to make it a close game, and after several lead exchanges the Saints secured the lead for good. The Warriors were led by senior Tim Browning (Detroit, MI) with 17 points and 7 boards, and senior Brad Webster (Barberton, OH) had his fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Shaun Cabrera (Warsaw, IN) chipped in 14 points. For the Saints, John Lierman was top scorer with 25 points and James Telman had 14 points. The Warriors finished the 2008-09 season with a 21-10 overall record. |
