Fort Wayne, IN-- The Warriors welcomed Taylor to Kline Court this evening, looking for a confidence boost after a loss earlier in the week to Indiana Wesleyan. The Warrios came out strong leading 10-2 at the start of the game but Taylor would quickly find their rhyme and take a 32-25 lead into the second half.
Tech's Shaun Cabrera led the attack in the first half with 8 points, while James Hicks and Kyle Presseley contributed 4 rebounds a piece. A strong team from Taylor hit nearly 50 percent in the first and was able to capitalize on trips to the free throw line sinking 6 of 10.
In the second half the Warriors came up just short but were able to cut the lead and tie the game at one point. Jason Souder drove to the rim with confidence and hit 9 of 9 from the line down the stretch. Souder has 13 in the second half to lead the offense.
In the fifteen seconds fans were to the edge of their seats as Taylor inbounded the ball. 3-2-1 the shot went up, the buzzer sounded, and Taylor walked away with a 63-60 win.
Indiana Tech will be in action again on Tuesday, November 24th, as they travel to Brescia for a 6 p.m. game time. For more information on the Warriors please call Kaylee Swanson at 260.422.5561 ext. 2443. |
