Fort Wayne, IN-- James Hicks led the Warriors with 18 points and 11 rebounds with Shaun Cabrera adding 20, in a 75-80 loss to Indiana University East.
Tech shot 50% in the first half and at one point led by nine. Turnovers forced by Tech produced 12 first half points and Brad Winton's Warriors came out hard, looking impressive, taking a confident 36-31 lead into the locker room.
In the second half IU East caught fire and never looked back. At the half way mark the Red Wolves took the lead and were up by as many as 11. The Warriors weren't looking to roll over and mustard together some points to bring it with in 1 with a minute to go.
Fouls ended up being critical and the Red Wolves were able to capitalize. The Warriors continue their road trip heading to Taylor University to battle Cardinal Stritch on Friday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m. For more information on Warrior Basketball please contact Kaylee Swanson at 260.422.5561 ext. 2443. |
