Fort Wayne, IN--As cheerleaders often yell, "Rebound that Basketball," the Warriors did just that Saturday against Ohio State- Marion. In the Warrior's 131-47 trampling of the Scarlet Wave, Tech picked up a record setting 75 rebounds, surpassing the old single game record of 64 set in the 2002-2003 season.
Led by junior, center, James Hicks with 13, there were only two Warriors without a recorded rebound in the game. The team has had trouble so far this season, at 3-8, but Head Coach Brad Winton seems to have found the spark he's been looking for.
Closing in on the first conference game of the season, just after the start of the year against University of Michigan- Dearborn, the Warriors will look to continue what they may have started. Tech faces the Cardinals of North Central College Thursday, and IU Northwest Saturday, both at home, before beginning the holiday break.
