Lima, OH – The Indiana Tech men’s golf team shot a 312 on Monday at WHAC Jamboree No.2 hosted by the University of Northwestern Ohio, placing them 4th out of the nine schools competing. Madonna University ended the day with a team score of 302 to win the event. Following the Crusaders was Northwestern Ohio with a 303 and Siena Heights with a 307.
After the first two Jamborees of the year, the Warriors stand in 5th place in the conference while Madonna leads the pack by one stroke over Siena Heights and two strokes over Davenport and UNOH.
Seniors Mark Beneke (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger) and Nick Quick (Portage, IN/Portage) led the way for the Warriors firing a pair of 75’s on the par-72 course to tie for 3rd place individually.
Freshman Tom Kocks (Ft. Wayne, IN/Homestead) finished right behind them with a 76 in 11th place and senior Ryan Yocom (Cable, OH/Triad) carded an 86 for the round.
Up next for the Warriors, they will host WHAC Jamboree No.3 on Thursday, September 22 at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Fort Wayne.
