Fort Wayne, IN – The Indiana Tech men’s golf team hosted the third Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree of the year on Thursday at Coyote Creek Golf Club. The Warriors shot a 321 to tie with Aquinas College for fifth place. Davenport University won the event with a 296 followed by Madonna University (311) and Siena Heights University (314).
Senior Mark Beneke (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger) was Tech’s top golfer today, firing a 5-over 77 to tie for seventh and freshman Tom Kocks (Ft. Wayne, IN/Homestead) added an 80 to finish 23rd.
Ryan Yocom (Cable, OH/Triad) and Ryne Gurney (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Luers) rounded out the Warriors scoring turning in rounds of 81 and 83 respectively.
The Warriors are right back in action tomorrow and Saturday at the Bill Bockwitz Invitational hosted by Spring Arbor University at Cascades Golf Club in Jackson, Michigan.
