Fort Wayne, IN – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference has announced the All-Conference honors for men’s golf and Mark Beneke (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Dwenger) was selected to the Honorable Mention team.
The senior from Fort Wayne earned his second All-Conference selection after leading the Warriors this fall. Beneke was the team’s top-scorer in almost every outing this season, averaging a 76.0 per round with a low round score of 73 at the Crusader Classic.
His best performance this fall was a 3rd place tie at the WHAC Jamboree #2, where he fired a three-over 75 to guide Tech to a 4th place finish. On the year, he has three Top-10 finishes and one Top-5.
The Warriors finished their fall conference schedule at fifth place in the standings. Davenport University won the regular season championship and will host the spring event to determine the league’s automatic berth to the NAIA Championships.
