RESULTS | GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –The Indiana Tech men’s golf team tied for fourth at the WHAC Jamboree #2 at The Highlands on Thursday with a 306. The Warriors are currently sixth in the WHAC with a combined 628 after two of the four conference contests this season.
The Orange and Black were led once again by Tom Kocks who carded a five-over-par 76 to tie for 17th with teammate Nate Kolmerten.
Brandon Bailey and Tyler Willette each shot identical 77’s to finish tied for 21st and Ethan Galloway and Zach Wetzel tied for 28th with 79’s for the Warriors.
Northwestern Ohio won the 10-team, 55-player event with a four-over 288, led by individual medalist Keith Long, who finished as the lone player under par with a four-under 67. Davenport, who currently leads the conference with a 588, finished second with a 291. Madonna carded a 301 to jump the Warriors in the overall standings while Tech and Siena Heights (306) rounded out the top-five.
The Warriors will join the rest of the WHAC in returning to the course on Tuesday, Sept. 24 when they take part in the first round of the WHAC Jamboree #3 at the Hawthorne Hills Golf Course in Lima, Ohio before returning home on Wednesday, Sept. 25 for the final round of WHAC #3 at Coyote Creek Golf course.
