RESULTS | LIMA, Ohio –The Indiana Tech men’s golf team is currently fifth after the first round of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Jamboree No.3 after carding a 301 at the Hawthorne Hills Golf Course on Tuesday.
Tyler Willette paced the Warriors with a first round even-par, 72 and is currently tied for second with four others, three behind the leader Adrian Balbas of Davenport. Also in the top-10 after the first round is Tom Kocks who carded a two-over 74 and is tied for 10th.
Brandon Bailey is tied for 14th with a three-over 75 while Zach Wetzel (t-33rd), Nate Kolmerten (t-37th) and Ethan Galloway (42nd) each finished within two strokes carding 80, 81 and 82, respectively.
Davenport currently leads the 10-team, 55-player, two-day event with a first round 289, and seven strokes better than Cornerstone who finished eight-over (296). Madonna was the only other team to shoot under 300 with a 299 while Siena Heights (300) and Indiana Tech round out the top-five.
The final round will take place tomorrow at the Coyote Creek Golf Course in Fort Wayne, Ind. with teams scheduled to tee off at 11 a.m.
