RESULTS | FORT WAYNE, Ind. –The Indiana Tech men’s golf team finished where they started after the final round of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Jamboree No. 3 concluded on Tuesday at Coyote Creek Golf Course. The Warriors finished fifth with a 36-hole total of 611 (301-310).
Brandon Bailey took home top honors for the Orange and Black as he was the lone Warrior to finish in the top-10 with a seven-over 151 for the tournament and a 76 in today’s second round to tie for ninth. Tom Kocks and Tyler Willette finished the event with 153s and tied for 18th with Kocks carding a 74 in round one and 79 in round two while WIllette shot a 72 on day one and an 81 on day two.
Nate Kolmerten made the biggest improvement for Tech on day two as he shaved off seven strokes to card a 74 for a 155 overall. Zach Wetzel finished with a 162 (80-82) and Ethan Galloway carded a 36-hoel 170 (82-88).
Davenport continues to lead the WHAC after winning WHAC Jamboree #3 with a 585 (289-296) led by Warren Grover who took home medalist honors with a 143 (73-70), the only play to finish the tournament under par. Madonna finished 19 strokes back with a 604 (301-303) one shot better than Cornerstone (296-309=605) and two shots ahead of Siena Heights (300-306=606).
The Warriors return to action on Monday, Sept. 30 when they travel to East Moline, Ill. to play in the Ashford University Invitational at Shorts Hills Country Club.
