RESULTS | FORT WAYNE, Ind. –The Indiana Tech men’s golf team finished tied for seventh at the St. Francis Fall Invitational on Saturday after a final round 305 at the Brookwood Country Club. Tech finished with a 36-hole total of 609.
The Warriors were led by Tyler Willette who carded a one-under par 71 to finish the 36-hole event with a 147 (76-71). Brandon Bailey (75-78) and Tom Kocks (76-77) finished tied for 28th as each shot 153 for the tournament, while Zach Wetzel’s second round 79 gave him a 36-hole total of 156 (77-79). Nate Kolmerten rounded out the scoring for Tech with a 166 (83-83).
Tyler Turnwald led the second team for the Orange and Black as he carded a 36-hole 152 (77-75), placing 23rd. Zach Clouse shot 162 (82-80) over two days to place 57th while Ethan Galloway (81-85=166) and Dan Novitski (83-88=171) concluded the scoring for the Warriors.
Indiana Wesleyan won the event with a 36-hole 586 (291-291), seven strokes better than Spring Arbor (295-296=591). Siena Heights took third with a 594 (295-299) with Mt. Vernon Nazarene (302-297=599) and Bethel (Ind.) (302-299=601) rounded out the top five.
Indiana Tech returns to the course on Monday, Oct. 7 when they travel to Metamora, Mich. to take part in WHAC Jamboree No. 4 at the Metamora Golf & Country Club.
