RESULTS | FRENCH LICK, Ind. –A third-place finish by Tom Kocks led the Indiana Tech men’s golf team to a second place finish with a 631 (316-315) in the two-day Thrill at the Hill Tournament which concluded on Tuesday at the Donald Ross Course.
Kocks shot a final round 76 to finish the event with a 154 (78-76) tying for third place, while first round leader, Tyler Willette, finished the event sixth with a 156 (73-83) after a second round 83. Zach Wetzel (82-80) carded a final round 80 to finish tied with Nate Kolmerten (85-77) who carded a final round 77. Both finished with a tournament total of 162. Brandon Bailey concluded the scoring for the Black team with a 36-hole 165 (83-82).
Tyler Turnwald paced the Orange team with a final round 80, finishing the 36-hole tournament with a 168 (88-80). Ethan Galloway finished tied with Turnwald with his second straight round of 84. Zach Clouse carded an 85 on Tuesday for a 174 (89-85) while Dan Novitski finished with a 186 (93-93).
Parkland Community College won the event with a two-day total of 615 (307-308), led by individual medalist Austin Egbers who finished with a 150 (75-75). Tech was second overall with Marian “B” finishing third (317-317=634). Madonna (319-316=635) and Marian “C” (319-337=656) rounded out the top five.
This concludes the fall season for the Warriors who will return to the course in the spring.
