Ypsilanti, MI – The Indiana Tech Men’s Lacrosse team came away with a 13-12 victory in overtime Wednesday night against the Eastern Michigan Eagles. The Warriors were plagued by penalties, but managed to overcome them and Craig Schaepkens (Davison, MI/Davison HS) scored the game winner at 2:05 into overtime.
Matt Fedyck (Fergus, ON/Centre Wellington HS) led the Warrior offense with seven goals and Schaepkens finished with three goals and two assists. Tony Cremeens (St. Charles, MO/Hazelwood HS) added two goals and an assist and Samora Ponn (Ft. Wayne, IN/Concord HS) rounded out the scoring with one goal. Josh Ambrose (Brooklyn Park, MN/Armstrong HS) also finished with one assist. Goalie Jordan Steptoe (Ellicott City, MD/River Hill HS) ended the night with 13 saves.
Eastern Michigan’s Romaine Witt was dominant and put up seven goals with three assists.
The Warriors return to action Friday, March 26, at 6 p.m. as they travel to Big Rapids, MI to take on Ferris State.
