Big Rapids, MI – The Warriors knocked off the Ferris State Bulldogs on Friday, 7-6 to improve their overall record to 3-1. The game was back and forth all day, but Tech built a 7-4 lead and was able to hang on.
Matt Fedyck (Fergus, ON/Centre Wellington District HS) led the Warriors with four goals. Nicholas Lichtsinn (Ft. Wayne, IN), Brent Nichter (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Luers HS), and Josh Ambrose (Brooklyn Park, MN/Armstrong HS) all chipped in a goal apiece. Craig Schaepkens (Davison, MI/Davison HS) finished the day with three assists.
Dylan Johnston (Oshawa, ON/All Saints Catholic HS), Jeff Harter (Ft. Wayne, IN/Snider HS), Ryan McCready (Blain, MN/Totino-Grace HS), and Bryce Packard (Middleton, WI/Middleton HS) played some great defense, limiting the Bulldogs offensively. Jordon Steptoe (Ellicott City, MD/River Hill HS) was solid in goal, recording 18 saves.
The men’s lacrosse team is right back in action tomorrow, March 27, as they travel to Grand Rapids, MI to play Aquinas College at 2:30 p.m.
