Ft. Wayne, IN – The Warriors kicked off Parents Weekend with a 9-5 win over Ball State on Friday. After finishing the first quarter tied at 2, Tech scored five unanswered goals to take control of the game. Ball State came back with two scores to cut the deficit to three, but Brent Nichter (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Luers HS) scored two fourth quarter goals to put the Cardinals away.
Nichter led the Warriors with three goals and Matt Fedyck (Fergus, ON/Centre Wellington District HS) had two. Bryce Packard (Middleton, WI/Middleton HS) collected four groundballs. Goalie Jordon Steptoe (Ellicott City, MD/River Hill HS) had a great night between the pipes recording 13 saves.
The Warriors are back in action Saturday, April 10 when they play Davenport University at 2 p.m.
