Ft. Wayne, IN – The Warriors fell to the #2 ranked Davenport University Panthers on Saturday, 18-5. The Panthers were up 5-0 after the first quarter and never looked back.
Tony Cremeens (St. Charles, MO/Hazelwood HS) led the Warriors in scoring with two goals while Brent Nichter (Ft. Wayne, IN/Bishop Luers HS), Jared Weis (Evansville, IN/Evansville North HS), and Nicholas Lichtsinn (Ft. Wayne, IN) all added one. Samora Ponn (Elkhart, IN/Concord HS) also added one assist for the game. Goalie Jordon Steptoe (Ellicott City, MD/River Hill HS) finished the game recording 12 saves.
Shawn Beer and Lyle Parks both scored five times for the Panthers, while six other Panthers all added scores. Davenport goalie Zach Higgins made 16 saves on the night.
The Warriors wrap up the weekend tomorrow at 3 p.m. when they play Siena Heights.
