RESULTS | GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- The Indiana Tech men’s soccer team began their last full week of regular season play with a 3-0 shutout loss to Cornerstone University (8-6-1, 4-4-1).
Scoring opened in the second minute with a goal from the Eagles’ Nick Manzer who played the ball off a corner kick, past Warrior goalkeeper Reece Richardson, into the left corner of the goal. The score would be doubled by the end of the first half with a goal from Mario Williams, who also scored the lone goal in the second half.
The Warriors were led offensively by sophomore Zach St. Aubin who accounted for three of the team’s nine total shots, all of which were on target. Defensively, Richardson made five saves despite allowing the three goals.
With the loss, the Warriors move to 9-6-1 on the season, and 3-5 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. They now sit in eighth place in the WHAC heading into their last two regular season matches.
The Orange and Black return to action on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. when they travel to Dearborn, Mich. to face the Wolverine of UM-Dearborn.
